Milliflex^® Cassette prefilled with R2A Agar is used in Bioburden testing and general microbiological analysis of water especially high purity water (electronics, RO, distilled or purified). It is widely used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

General description

Milliflex^® Cassette is ready to use agar-based media to be used with Milliflex^® or Milliflex Oasis^® system for convenient, rapid, and reliable bioburden testing. The prefilled agar cassette helps to streamline the microbial contamination testing workflow with quality assurance and avoiding risks of exogenous contamination. Each plate is a 3-piece assembly containing approximately 10 ml of the media. R2A Agar is a low nutrient medium consisting of less proteose peptone, yeast extract, and glucose as compared to Standard Methods Agar. This medium allows the growth of stressed, injured, and chlorine tolerant bacteria present in treated waters due to the presence of pyruvate and starch.
