Key Account Coordinator

To provide a first class customer experience to a designated key account customer(s) and provide support to the Key Account Team. The role will primarily be office based but will require the occasional site visit. The role will be defined by the customer’s and business requirements and we will need to adapt as the account grows and develops.

This role would primarily suit someone looking for an opportunity within a Sales Office environment, or someone looking to move from an Account Coordinator role to a Key Account Coordinator role.   

Distribution business within the scientific arena.

Duties and responsibilities  

  • Deliver a first class customer experience at all times  
  • To be the primary point of contact for the customer, managing day to day activities such as sales order entry, chasing of outstanding orders, resolving complaints, handling enquiries, managing delivery expectations- all within a timely manner via phone or email
  • Proactively communicate with the customer for any delays in delivery
  • Work closely with the Territory Sales Manager to support and further develop the relationship with the customer and optimize all sales opportunities
  • Produce monthly reports as specified by the Customer or Sales Manager 
  • Ensure that KPI’s and SLA’s agreed with the Customer are managed and exceeded
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Purchasing, Warehouse, Distribution to ensure a smooth and timely delivery of service and goods from receipt of sales order, through to despatch
  • Work with Purchasing to improve lead times on products out of stock
  • Work with Sourcing to identify and locate supply of non-catalogued products
  • Where required, issue quotations to customers following guidelines issued by the Sales Manager

Further requirements   

  • Must hold current UK driving licence    
  • Knowledge of the industry preferred, but not essential

Territory Sales Manager - Nottingham

Scientific Laboratory Supplies are currently recruiting for the position of Territory Sales Manager. 
This role involves selling laboratory consumables, chemicals, reagents and equipment into a territory within Nottinghamshire.

Attributes & Skills Required

  • Has a minimum of 2 years field sales experience ideally with previous roles which ideally within academia and research, Biotech, clinical and Pharma or industrial laboratory environments.
  • Has a scientific background or understanding (this would be beneficial but not essential).
  • Can take responsibility for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers. 
  • Can provide a high level of support and service to existing accounts.
  • Shows the necessary enthusiasm to grow territory performance by approaching new and prospective customers, be it by arranging prior appointments or by 'cold-calling’.
  • Has a proven track record of success within a sales environment.
  • Displays a self-motivated and driven personality.
  • Has good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Has a full clean UK driving licence.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet/exceed target expectations as a whole and also by product segments in established product areas such as liquid handling, life sciences, capital equipment, chemicals and clinical. 

A key component of success will be close coordination and collaboration with a team of product specialists leading these product segments.
