To keep pace with customer demands and the growth we have seen over 2020/2021, we are recruiting a Territory Sales Manager for NE Scotland and the Highlands on a permanent basis. Overseeing a portfolio of customers across a wide range of industries, a key component of success will be close coordination and collaboration with a team of product specialists leading these product segments to generates sales within your accounts to hit sales targets.

Job Summary
Ideally being based in the Dundee / Aberdeen region, you will be selling laboratory consumables, chemicals and equipment. There is an existing customer base which needs to be built upon and extended so Account Management and Business Development skills will be essential to success in this role.
You will be an experienced Account Manager who preferably has a strong track record of selling into Universities, Biotech, NHS and Medical Research Institutions.
A determined approach is required to network effectively through large, complex organisations to ensure you are in contact with all potential customers.
This is a hybrid role where you will combine both working from home and visiting customers within your territory on a regular basis. You will immerse yourself into the world of academia, research, biotech, clinical, pharma and industrial laboratory environments.
Having a scientific background would be enormously helpful to ensure you can easily build credibility and trust with your customers. You will be supported by a team of experienced product and technical sales specialists, so you will need to be a strong team player who can reach out for help and support within your key accounts.
You will need to collaborate and work effectively as a team to ensure you maximise all opportunities that present themselves. Utilizing your colleagues’ specialist product and technical skills will allow you to distinguish yourself and your products from the competition.
This role requires a blend of account management skills and new business development. You will take responsibility for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and providing a high level of support and service to existing accounts.
You must also show the necessary enthusiasm to grow your territory by approaching new and prospective customers.
Being highly organised, taking time to plan and then execute your sales strategy will ensure success in this role.
About You
You will be a passionate and enthusiastic Account Manager with experience in field sales. With experience of selling into large, complex public and private sector organisations, you will be an excellent communicator at all levels.
You will be required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders within the business but also within various department of the customers you are working with.
We are looking for a motivated, high performing individual with previous sales experience who will be able to apply this knowledge to the management of customer accounts with the aim of growing and retaining existing relationships and building new accounts. You will be innovative and pro-active in your approach to work with an ability to drive business and generate new sales within new and existing customers.
As with all sales roles, you will be a confident, strong negotiator with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload, have an excellent eye for detail and take pride in your work.
A clean UK driving licence is essential for this role as you will be regularly travelling around the region to your customers.
