  • Supplier Quality Assurance Officer

    Job Title: Supplier Quality Assurance Officer

    Reporting to: General Manager – Supply chain (Purchasing)

    Work in close cooperation with: Quality & Compliance officer, SLS Primary Suppliers, Purchasing, Product Management, SLS business managers & SLS Quotes and Tenders’ team

    Job summary  

    Management of the SLS supplier onboarding programme to ensure supplier compliance to required regulatory & ethical standards. This may involve conducting audits of our exiting supply chain partners.

    Duties and responsibilities  

    • Define & create supplier audit questionnaires that cover all current and future regulations
    • Management of the SLS supplier onboarding programme ensuring all activity is logged and managed.
    • Assist in the creation and updating of the SLS Procurement Policies
    • Train and communicate SLS policies with suppliers.
    • Conduct relevant audits, monitor supplier KPI’s & sending questionnaires. Follow up where necessary.
    • Produce regular KPI reports for supplier evaluation including delivery faults and OTIF statistics for the GM – Supply chain and the Purchasing Director.
    • Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with purchasing / company policies.
    • Influence and action the supplier’s chain to make required changes that may arise, monitor and follow up where applicable.
    • Assist the supplier approval process by assessing supplier capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks and compliance with all current legislation.
    • Ensure all relevant activity is appropriately recorded on company CRM system. 
    • Other tasks as may be reasonably requested by the GM Supply chain and company Directors.

      Ideal candidate  

    • Working knowledge of Current regulations

    • Experience of working in a Quality assurance role
    • Excellent organisational and follow-up skills
    • Experience in supplier audit procedures and techniques.
    • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skill communications at all levels.

    • Proficient in IT systems including but not limited to MS Office and ERP systems

  • Territory Sales Manager Scotland

    To keep pace with customer demands and the growth we have seen over 2020/2021, we are recruiting for a newly created position of Territory Sales Manager on a permanent basis for Scotland covering Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness and surrounding areas. Overseeing a portfolio of customers across a wide range of industries, a key component of success will be close coordination and collaboration with a team of product specialists leading these product segments to generates sales within your accounts to hit sales targets.

    About You

    You will be a passionate and enthusiastic Sales Manager with experience in field sales. With experience of selling into large, complex public and private sector organisations, you will be an excellent communicator at all levels.  You will need to liaise with internal and external stakeholders within the business but also within various department of the customers you are working with.

    You will be a strong team player and look to support your colleagues with any sales of these key consumables products within their accounts, requiring collaboration and team spirit to ensure you work closely together.

    We are looking for a high performing individual with previous experience in sales who will be able to apply this knowledge to the management of customer accounts with the aim of growing and retaining existing relationships and building new relationships. Alongside this, you will be motivated and pro-active in your approach to work, in order to drive business and generate new sales within new and existing customers.

    As with all sales roles, you will be a strong negotiator, able to manage your own workload and prioritise workload, have an excellent eye for detail and take pride in your work.

    A UK driving licence is essential for this role as you will be travelling around the region to your customers on a daily basis.

  • Pricing Administrator

    We are recruiting a Pricing Administrator on a permanent basis to join in a critical position within the Pricing Team.  You will be supporting fellow team colleagues to ensure all the work is completed to deadline.   

    This is a busy and varied role where no day is the same.  You will be focussing on different elements which make up the function of the Pricing team focussing on where your support is needed most.  You might need to juggle a few tasks and re-prioritise as more important tasks land in your inbox but you will always have the support of your colleagues who work together seamlessly as a team.  

    We support our internal colleagues with the provision of pricing data therefore we need an Administrator who understands the importance of the accuracy of their work but also the speed at which the work is completed.

    Primary Duties

    • Managing team work flow and distribution being mindful of internal customer SLA’s.
    • Loading of company pricing data on to internal and external systems and marketplaces.
    • Identify and resolve problems which arise within the pricing element of the business; ensuring processes are managed to reduce reoccurrence.
    • Supporting the Pricing Analyst’s and Pricing Manger on projects and day-to-day tasks.
    • Collate and present data to various areas within the business.
    • Build and maintain intercompany relationships, particularly with our sales and customer service departments.
    • Support other business functions to ensure they conform with company pricing rules.
    • Monitoring and policing of company margin policy.
    • Provide accurate and timely information to different areas of the business drawing from various sources.

      About You

      You will have excellent communication skills both verbally and written, with excellent spelling and grammar.

      You will be able to prioritise work load,  and be organised and methodical.

    Job Title: Life Science Sales Specialist (Southern Territory including London, Oxford & Cambridge)

    Job summary:  This role is at the forefront of driving the sales of all Life Science Products directly to customers and via the Field Sales Team

     

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Achieve Sales and Margin target set by the company
    • Visit customers to promote and sell the SLS Life Science range
    • Provide technical and product support to the Sales Force Support the Field Sales Team with customer visits and demonstrations or any other required field/ remote selling activity
    • Provide customers with timely responses and quotations
    • Generate leads for key suppliers and provide regular feedback on open opportunities
    • Attend joint customer visits with key suppliers
    • Attend product training sessions hosted by key suppliers Support Field Sales Team in key flagship accounts

    The Successful candidate will be expected to meet/exceed target expectations as a whole and also by product segments in established product areas such as  liquid handling, life sciences, capital equipment, chemicals and clinical.  

    A key component of success will be close coordination and collaboration with a team of product specialists leading these product segments.

    Key skills and attributes
