For rapid, simple and accurate measurement of DNA, RNA, oligo and protein concentrations and purity, the BioDrop range of micro-volume spectrophotometers will provide the right instrument whatever the application: PCR, qPCR, siRNA or DNA microarray. BioDrop’s unique technology has no moving parts which ensures excellent accuracy and reproducibility as well as avoiding the need for calibration.

There are three variants available: BioDrop µLITE, BioDrop DUO and BioDrop TOUCH and each instrument offers a compact footprint, incorporates a colour touch screen (excludes PC versions) with intuitive and easy to use software and a USB port for PC control and data export (excludes PC versions). BioDrop Resolution software is pre programmed for DNA, RNA, oligo, dye labelling efficiency, Tm calculation, quick measurements and colourimetric protein methods (with standard 10mm cuvette only).

BioDrop has a built-in sample port with no moving parts, the pathlength doesn’t change. This results in excellent measurement reproducibility. Another benefit of having no moving parts is that there is no need for calibration of the instrument. No more expensive service contracts, overpriced calibration fluid, or instrument downtime while it is being calibrated.

The BioDrop µLITE micro-volume spectrophotometer, has a unique built-in sample port dedicated to micro-volume measurement of DNA, RNA and Protein samples. Simply pipette 0.5-µL or more in the center and measure. Wipe the drop away with lint-free tissue and the BioDrop µLITE is ready to make the next measurement. Fast, easy and accurate!

The large colour touch screen with intuitive on board software for data acquisition and analysis makes the process even easier. Pre-programmed methods for DNA, RNA, oligos and proteins reduce the time from measurement to results. In addition, data generated using the on-board software can be stored internally or transferred using a USB memory stick.
