Valentina Capizzuto joined the SLS Life Science team in October, bringing a wealth of experience in immune oncology from Academia, the NHS, Biotech, and Big Pharma. With a passion for science and innovation, Valentina was excited to transition from the lab to a sales role, where she combines her expertise with a dynamic, people-focused approach to empower scientists in making a meaningful impact.
Originally from Italy, Valentina holds a Master’s degree in Biology and Biomedical Applications. After graduation, she began her career in the UK as an intern in the immune oncology field at the University Hospital of Southampton. Over the course of eight years, she worked in various cities and laboratories, ultimately becoming a Senior Scientist and Project Leader in the same field. Her experience across different sectors has given her a comprehensive understanding of the many facets of life science businesses.
Over time, Valentina gained a deep understanding of science and the needs of the people that work within it, as well as suppliers and products. Therefore, she wanted to transition into a more marketing/sales role where she could also use her social skills and dynamic and supportive approach to work.
