Eppendorf’s Mastercycler pro offers high levels of flexibility with a choice of three block formats (silver, aluminium or 384 well). The standard silver and aluminium options accept plate, tube or strip. Eppendorf’s Impulse PCR, a device driven hot-start function that increases heating rates to 8 °C/s ensures a fast start up whilst vapo.protect technology mimimises evaporation by using a cushion in the lid that fits to the shape of whatever consumables are being used. The snug fit of the cushion combined with the high pressure and the heating capabilities of the lid reduce evaporation to a minimum.

On the gradient option of the Mastercycler pro, SteadySlope® technology ensures that heating and cooling ramp rates are identical in both gradient and normal operation ensuring identical temperature control characteristics in both optimization and routine experiments.
