General description

An inert, zwitterionic buffer that exhibits only a very small shift in dissociation constant with respect to temperature (absorbance: ﹤0.04 at 280 nm, 100 mM, H₂O). Suitable for fractionation of hemoglobin. Has a pK_a of 6.5 at 25°C.

Absorbance (100 mM, H₂O, 280 nm):≤0.04.
