General description

A potent phosphotyrosine phosphatase inhibitor. Activates the insulin receptor kinase (IRK) of hepatoma cells. Also stimulates lipogenesis in isolated adipocytes. Also reported to potently inhibit PTEN (IC₅₀ = 14 nM).
