Immunogen
The epitope recognized by PLA0268 maps to a region between residue 50 and 100 of human Yin and Yang 1 Protein using the numbering given in entry NP_003394.1 (GeneID 7528).
Other Notes
YY1 (ying and yang 1) is a multifunctional transcription factor that exhibits positive and negative control on a large number of cellular and viral genes by binding to sites overlapping the transcription start site. YY1 may play an important role in development and differentiation. The function of YY1 as an activator or a repressor is specified by the presence of other proteins. For example it acts as a repressor in absence of adenovirus E1A protein but as an activator in its presence.
