Immunogen
The epitope recognized by PLA0267 maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human Origin Recognition Complex, Subunit 2-like using the numbering given in entry NP_006181.1 (GeneID 4999).
Other Notes
The origin recognition complex (ORC) is a highly conserved six subunits protein complex essential for the initiation of the DNA replication in eukaryotic cells. Studies in yeast demonstrated that ORC binds specifically to origins of replication and serves as a platform for the assembly of additional initiation factors such as Cdc6 and Mcm proteins. ORC2 is also known as ORC2L and is a subunit of the human ORC complex. ORC2 forms a core complex with ORC3L, -4L, and -5L [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 4999)]
