General description
Matrix metalloproteinase-21 (MMP-21) is a secreted protein expressed in fetal tissues, adult tissues and cancer cell lines. It is a 57kDa protein. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 10.
Immunogen
synthetic peptide corresponding to the hinge region of human matrix metalloproteinase-21.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline containing 50% glycerol and 0.05% sodium azide.
Specificity
By immunoblotting against the reduced protein, the antibody identifies bands at 70 kDa and 66 kDa.
