Biochem/physiol Actions

Human C21orf63 is a type-1 transmembrane protein consisting of two repeats of putative ′galactose-binding lectin domains′ and is expressed on epithelia of various human tissues. This protein possesses unique property of interacting with heparin; the C-terminal galactose-binding lectin domain is responsible for binding of heparin.
