  • Field Sales Account Manager

    Job Summary:

    Due to business expansion, we are looking for a Field Based Territory Sales Manager covering key accounts, in both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. The majority of the accounts will be focussed on the Biotech and Pharma business sector, with the remainder in a multi-segmented territory including environmental and clinical accounts.

    Ideally, we are looking for an experienced individual with a strong track record of selling and a determined approach to networking through large, complex organisations with the aim of growing and retaining existing and new relationships. However, we are also open to candidates who are new to sales but have a strong drive and enthusiasm to succeed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Overseeing a portfolio of customers across a wide range of industries, building a strategic plan to manage and grow business.
    • Drive overall customer success aligned to the SLS strategy and goals, leveraging all of the SLS Product Specialist team. Owns the overall customer relationship across the account. Primary contact between the company and customers and grows the business through an understanding of the market, an awareness and familiarity with the needs of customer, and knowledge of the product portfolio.
    • Work collaboratively with internal resources and specialists to identify, document and confirm the best solution to meet customer needs.
    • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers to provide a high level of support and service to existing accounts.
    • Achieve the quarterly and yearly operating plan within a defined territory while driving customer satisfaction and customer retention.
    • Maintain awareness of competitors and industry activity and introduces new products and services as available.

    Key Skill requirements:

    • Must live in/near Northern Ireland area as this is where the largest proportion of time will be spent.
    • Self-motivated and pro-active in your approach to work, to drive business and generate sales with new and existing customers.
    • Highly organised, taking time to plan and then execute a sales strategy.
    • Preferably previous account management or business development skills.
    • To grow territory performance by approaching new and prospective customers.
    • interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
    • Oral and written communication skills.
    • UK driving licence.

    Desirable requirements:

    • Background or understanding to ensure you easily build credibility and trust with customers and to understand their needs.
    • Experience within the Pharma & Biotech sector.

  • Facilities Coordinator

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our innovative and fast-paced business.  You will have a 'can do' attitude who can hit the ground running and be a successful contributor to a rapidly growing company.

    Job Summary:

    As a Facilities Assistant, you will be working closely with the Facilities manager focusing on ensuring the seamless execution of planned & reactive maintenance within our flag ship site at Fairham in Nottingham, whilst prioritizing safety, compliance, and other essential facets of the department’s responsibilities towards our satellite sites within Scientific Laboratory Supplies Ltd group based around the UK & Ireland.

    In addition, as the Facilities assistant you will collaborate in assisting with managing the department’s budget and ensuring compliance with the company’s management systems.

    The successful applicants’ responsibilities will be, but not limited to, assisting the Facilities Manager in:

    Maintenance:

    • The co-ordination of the day-to-day operation of the Fairham grounds and building in alignment of the organization’s goals & standards.
    • Ensure that all planned & reactive works are carried out efficiently and effectively, prioritizing safety as the foremost concern.
    • Monitor adherence to compliance standards & regulations, implementing necessary corrective actions where required.
    • Evaluate and address the cost impact of operations, seeking opportunities to optimize resources without compromising quality.
    • To take appropriate responsibility to ensure the grounds and buildings are always secure.
    • Carry out the necessary actions in line with the company’s action plans in the event of inclement weather and/or emergencies, i.e. fire, flood, snow, break-in and entry, accidents, major damage, or disorder. 
    • Ensure all new starters receive a Health & Safety induction.
    • Ensure all service inspection reports are filed within the company’s Integrated Management System (Ims).
    • Complete regular stock takes of stationery & hospitality and place orders as required.
    • Liase on a day-to-day basis with external contractor ensuring their compliance with safety & company working policies whilst on company property.
    • On rare occasions be prepared to work weekends with time off in Lieu. Ensure that the commercial fleet of six vans is maintained in line with manufacturers and governmental guidelines.

    Safety & Compliance:

    • Uphold and enforce safety protocols & standards, fostering a culture of safety awareness among the team & staff.
    • Collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with industry- specific regulations & guidelines.

    Environmental:

    • Log & record meter readings on the companies Ims system for all company sites.
    • Manage the removal of all waste from our flagship site within Fairham & satellite sites within the Scientific Laboratory sites Ltd group.
    • Ensuring full compliance under current legislation and guidance.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Experience working in a similar role within the hard & soft facilities environment.
    • Have a strong understanding of safety standards & compliance regulations.
    • Ideally hold or working towards an Institute of Workplace Facilities Management (IWFM) qualification.
    • Hold a Full valid UK driving license.
    • Experience of working within an ISO 14001 & 9001 quality-driven business.
    • Self-motivated to work on own.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with great attention to detail.
    • Be a logical problem solver with diagnostic skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively & make sound decisions under pressure.
    • Competent in the use of MS office.
    • Ideally hold an IOSH managing safely qualification.

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Procurement Manager and collaborating closely with the wider business you will be managing our suppliers and stock effectively, negotiate and control our pricing and deliver exceptional service to both our internal and external customers that embraces our core values, drives sustainable business practice and delivers best value to the organisation and our partners, this includes:

    • Guarantee competitive pricing, product quality, continuity of supply.
    • Remove unnecessary stock-holding and rationalise suppliers to provide an efficient and effective supply base.
    • Encourage continual improvement of all activities within the Procurement Department, allowing for the development of relationships between internal and external stake-holders.
    • Manage both stock purchases and direct delivery purchases
    • Negotiating best prices proactively and on daily basis for “specials purchases”
    • Placing orders in a timely manner.
    • Line management responsibility of one or more members of staff.
    • Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quality and delivery timescales.
    • Communicating supply issues daily.
    • Controlling and monitoring stock and reorder levels.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Degree in Procurement/Business related subject, or equivalent of work experience
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders and suppliers, including attention to detail.

    • Previous line management experience

    • Demonstratable experience of managing supply and demand delivering expected benefits.

    • A working knowledge of stock inventory systems.
    • Understanding of the target market, the prices the market is willing to pay and the demand for the product.
    • Experience of using ticketing systems such as Zendesk or Freshdesk
    • Appreciation of interdepartmental cooperation to achieve individual and company goals

    Nice to have: 

    • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply CIPS qualified (Minimum Level 4) or willing to work towards.
    • Experience in Scientific or Medical Industry.

    Job Summary:

    As a Marketing Executive, you will be part of our dynamic Marketing team, reporting to the Group Marketing Manager and working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, Design and publications Manager, and Senior Product Manager to strategize and develop marketing promotional activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Involved in various aspects of modern marketing, including trade shows, exhibitions, marketing collateral management, market research, marketing planning, copywriting, and more.
    • Responsible for generating leads, building relationships with customers and stakeholders
    • Prepare and deliver trade shows and exhibitions, managing logistics and restocking of tabletop exhibition kits.
    • Manage marketing exhibition collateral stock levels to ensure availability for marketing activities. Use market research and analysis to advise on Group entity marketing strategy and planning.
    • Support marketing plans for all media channels and sales teams/divisions.
    • Support and promote the creative development of promotional materials, catalogues, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects.
    • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and customers.
    • Conduct copywriting and proofreading for marketing materials, including press releases, content, social media content, and case studies.
    • Clearly communicate and articulate design concepts and requirements to creative teams to ensure artwork aligns with brand identity and project goals.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Degree level education in a related subject.
    • Knowledge of marketing promotion methods, practices, and techniques, with the ability to leverage a mix of marketing activities to generate demand and increase revenue.
    • Ability to create marketing collateral and communicate product value to meet customer needs. Demonstrable evidence of delivering marketing activities that generate new leads and build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
    • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and deliver tasks in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of scientific communications is desirable to understand customer needs and competitor activities.
    • Problem-solving skills and ability to overcome challenges and obstacles.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
